Privacy policy

This policy explains how AlphaTechPlus ("we") collects and uses information when you use AlphaTechPlus WhatsApp (the "Service"), a software platform that lets businesses communicate with their customers on WhatsApp through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform.

1. Who is responsible

For account data of our customers (businesses and their team members) we are the data controller. For the messages and contact data a business processes through the Service, the business is the controller and we act as its processor, following its instructions.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: name, business name, e-mail, mobile number, password (stored as a one-way hash), GST and billing details.
• WhatsApp data: phone number IDs, WhatsApp Business Account IDs, access tokens issued by Meta (stored encrypted), message templates, and messages sent and received through the Service, including media and delivery status.
• Customer contacts of our clients: phone numbers, names, opt-in status and any fields our client adds.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser, log-in times and audit logs, used for security and support.
• Payment data: payments are handled by our payment partners (such as Razorpay or Stripe); we receive the payment status and reference, not full card details.

3. How we use information

• To provide the Service: deliver and receive WhatsApp messages, run campaigns and automations, and show reports.
• To bill, issue GST invoices and keep financial records required by law.
• To secure accounts, prevent abuse and spam, and investigate problems.
• To provide support and send service notices. We send marketing only where allowed, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Sharing

We share data only with: Meta Platforms (to send and receive WhatsApp messages, under Meta's terms); hosting, e-mail and payment providers that process data for us under contract; AI providers only when a client turns on AI features with its own or our key; and authorities when the law requires. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

We keep account data while the account is active and as required for tax and legal purposes. Message and contact data is kept for the retention period the client chooses, and deleted within 30 days after an account is closed, unless the law requires longer storage.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access tokens and secrets are encrypted at rest. Team members have role-based access, optional two-factor login and audit logs.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. End customers of our clients should contact the business they messaged; we help our clients answer such requests. To make a request, e-mail sales@alphatechplus.com.

8. Data deletion

To delete your account and its data, e-mail sales@alphatechplus.com from the account's e-mail address, or ask the workspace owner. We confirm deletion within 30 days.
